If you’re a student or an out-of-graduation student in a PhD program, you may have heard the term “Research Paper” numerous times in the past. Are you aware of what it actually means? What about the different types research papers? Are there any distinctions among research papers in APA format? Let’s look at some of the most common kinds of research papers that are that are written in APA format.
Research papers in APA Format. As the name indicates, APA format research papers utilize the APA format for the title page and table of contents. A complete research paper written in APA format will typically have the Title Page, Abstract, History and Description of Research Methodology, Results, and a discussion. The Title and Abstract appear on the first page. The Table of Content and Results appear on the pages following.
Argumentative Papers. Argumentative papers differ from research papers because they do not contain a lot of descriptive information. They are more of an opinion, with supporting evidence or a thesis statement. A research paper that is argumentative will be referring to a specific subject or an example. Research and Evaluation Paper. APA format research papers that contain an evaluation of your assignment, or the process that you have used to complete it, along with your suggestions for future study and research are also termed as evaluation papers. References and b.s. Sources. Your essay’s sources should be original and persuasive, just like research papers. The sources you choose for your essay should be thoroughly researched and chosen so that they can add weight to your argument. The most reliable sources for your essay are the most reliable and provide the most depth into your subject, but they must also be a natural fit within the overall essay and not appear as if you’re just grabbing information from thin air.
Conclusion. After your research paper is finished, the last thing you need to do is summarize everything that you’ve learned. You should then conclude with a clear endorsement of your argument and a call to take action. Then, summarize your main point(s) and then refer back to all of your other sources and suggestions. Your conclusion is often the most important portion of your essay, so make sure you ensure you take the time in writing it.
